The future of Rotary, as well as that of the world, has always been in the hands of our youth. That’s why the Lake Arrowhead Rotary Club has been so active in supporting the growth and development of our young people for sixty years. Through the support of Interact and RYLA, various programs at the elementary, middle school, high school and college level, Rotarians provide a path of leadership and appreciation for the accomplishment of our future leaders. Please join us in the support of young people throughout our community and throughout the world.
School Reading Program

Annually, Lake Arrowhead Rotarians gather at Grandview Middle School and Lake Arrowhead Elementary to read to the children. Students look forward to this event with anticipation. Rotarians have an equal amount of fun participating in this age-old tradition of reading a story out loud, influencing young, impressionable minds. Come and be a part of this learning experience for youngsters.
4-Way Speech Contest

There’s a mastery of youth that begins to form when a youngster can stand before a crowd of strangers and deliver a speech. It builds confidence and character, a winning attitude, and it often opens doors to success that might otherwise be closed. Rotary encourages this experience by sponsoring the annual 4-Way Speech Contest, where the students take the 4 Rotarian rules and weave them into a speech about truth, fairness, goodwill and friendship, and the benefits that are the rightful claim of any man or woman. If you want to help encourage these youngsters, then there’s probably a place in
the area of coaching, where your talents could be useful.  Or, if you merely want to witness this “blooming process” then come...be a Rotarian. Be one of us, and watch our support become your support for the next generation.
