The weather may still be warm, but we’re already thinking about next year’s PolaRotary Bear Plunge, held in February of each year.  Believe it or not, otherwise sane Rotarians and many of their friends, will jump into the frigid waters of Lake Arrowhead right in the dead of winter.

Dr. Pat Rains dreamed up this fund raising event and wound up jumping into the ice cold waters of Lake Arrowhead three times during the inaugural event back in February of 2009. He was joined by many business leaders who jumped, in return for pledges to either their favorite charity or to one of the many causes that Rotary supports. No, you don’t have to jump if you become a Rotarian!  But, we’ll let you, if you are crazy enough to want to jump. You can help us do fund raising, or just cheer on your favorite jumper from the sidelines. No matter what, you’re guaranteed to have a lot of fun at the next Rotary sponsored “PolaRotary Bear Plunge”.
