Joining Rotary - It’s as easy as having lunch!
In fact, that’s exactly how it might happen. A friend, who you didn’t even know was a Rotarian, may invite you to meet a group of like-minded individuals, successful business people in your own community, who are dedicated not only to self-improvement and social cohesion, but who are dedicated to helping the community and the world in whatever way they can. These will be people of all ages, from all walks of life, with all sorts of business and social backgrounds. There are no religious or political affiliations necessary and no particular social views required. You won’t find any restrictions regarding race, color, creed, gender, ethnicity, origin, or orientation. What you will find is acceptance and a common belief that by pooling our time, talent, treasure, and tenacity, we can accomplish great things as Rotarians. You’ll find people who believe that a high ethical and moral standard should be a way of life, not just something for Rotary meetings. It’s one of the reasons Rotarians like to do business with fellow Rotarians -- because they know that the 4-way test is more than a catchy slogan. It’s a way of life...a way of life that you will enjoy discovering.
