Rotary Gives Back!
To the Fire Victims . . .
The
Lake Arrowhead Rotary Noon Club "We Care" project
has raised over $20,000 to aid the mountain fire victims. Joe
Ramos, President of the club, presents Valerie Immel (left),
President of the Arrowhead Arts Association (AAA) a check for
$2,000. The AAA sponsors an Early Childhood Music Program at
Valley of Enchantment Elementary School. Chryl Russell (right),
an Early Childhood volunteer teacher lost, in the fires, all
her musical instruments and teaching aids essential to the program.
This check will help replace some of what Chryl lost.
Joe
Ramos and Tom Bremer (far left) of the Big Bear Rotary Club
present a check for $6,000 to Holland Lowe of Operation Provider
while Dennis Young, Rotary District 5330 Assistant Governor,
presents Dave Stuart of Rebuilding Mountain Hearts and Lives
another check for $6,000. These funds, along with over $6,000
distributed earlier are helping fire victims rebuild their lives.
To the Boy Scouts . . .
Joe
Ramos, president of the Lake Arrowhead Rotary Noon Club presents
a check for $2,000 to Jim Cochran of Boy Scout Troop #104. In
accepting the donation, Jim spoke about the many scouts prior
year's donations have helped.
To the Lake Arrowhead Film
Festival . . .
Joe
presents a check for $1,000 to Mary Dippell of the Lake Arrowhead
Film Festival. The donation will be used for film scholarships.
